My wife and I, along with our kids, are lucky enough to spend several weeks per year in a little “drinking village with a fishing problem,” Chatham, Massachusetts. Located on the elbow of Cape Cod, Chatham is a charming 400-year-old village and is my favorite place on Earth.
Chatham has an old-fashioned Main Street lined with terrific mom-and-pop small businesses, and there’s a real sense of synergy and community between the businesses. Throughout the year, these shops display colorful, overflowing window boxes, changing with the seasons. It might seem like a small thing, but it makes for a beautiful aesthetic while strolling down the street.
